Political engagement

Transport policy sets the course for the future.

That’s why we’re making a strong case here for a promising cause – your cause.

As a representative of the shipping industry, you make a significant contribution to Switzerland’s economic added value. However, you can only do this within a transport policy framework that enables you to work economically. That is why we are striving for a fair and competition-oriented market organisation without distortions for the rail freight system. This view begins, for example, by bringing the concerns of logistics sites into spatial planning at communal, cantonal and federal level – because without well-connected sites, there is no market access.

According to the motto “more incentives, less regulation”, we strive for more flexibility, simplification, streamlining of regulations and lowering of entry hurdles for rail freight transport. Policy should create incentives and ensure that entrepreneurial freedom and opportunities are created.

Responses to consultation

We deal with those national issues that keep you on the move. In doing so, we take clear positions and give your concerns a voice on the political on the political stage. In this way, we want to ensure that the signals of our industry are heeded and followed – at national and European level.

In doing so, we always start where our concerns are received, be it with the Federal Council when it is drafting its proposal, during the consultation in the commissions and in the Council plenary, or we explain our needs to the First and Second Councils.
