IN SAFE HANDS
Data protection
We at the VAP make every effort to protect the personal data of our members and partners. For this reason we undertake to comply with both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP/DSG) and the European Union’s new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The latter has been in force since 25 May 2018.
We have set down the most important points related to the processing of personal data in accordance with the GDPR in this data privacy policy:
Contents of our website
The association does not assume any liability for the currency, accuracy, completeness, or quality of the information provided. Liability claims against the association on the basis of material or immaterial damage resulting from the use or disuse of the information provided and/or the use of incorrect and incomplete information are excluded unless the association has acted with gross negligence or willful intent. All quotes are subject to confirmation and are non-binding. The association expressly reserves the right to change, add to, or delete parts or the entirety of the site without prior notice, or to take it down temporarily or permanently.
References and links
In the case of direct or indirect references or links to external websites (“hyperlinks”) which lie outside the association’s area of responsibility, liability will only be assumed if the association had knowledge of the content and it was technically possible and not unreasonable for it to prevent its use if content was illegal. The association hereby expressly declares that no illegal content was recognizable on linked websites at the time the link was set. The association has no influence on the current or future design, content, or authorship of linked sites and therefore expressly disavows all content of linked sites that has been changed since the links were set. This applies to all links set within this website as well as to external entries made in guest books, discussion forums, lists of links, mailing lists, and databases in any other form set up by the association whose contents external parties have write access to. The provider of the linked website alone is liable for illegal, incomplete, or incorrect data, and in particular for damage arising from the use or disuse of such information, and not anyone who merely makes reference to the publication in question via website links.
Copyright and trademark law
The association makes every effort to observe the copyrights on the images, audio documents, video sequences, and texts used; to use images, graphics, audio documents, video sequences, and texts it has created itself; or to use license-free graphics, audio documents, video sequences, and texts. All brands and trademarks mentioned on the website and possibly protected by third parties are subject without restriction to the provisions of the trademark law valid at that time and to the registered proprietor’s rights of ownership. It does not follow that trademarks are not protected by third party rights simply because they are referred to. The copyright for published content created by the association itself remains exclusively with the association. Reproduction or use of such graphics, audio documents, video sequences, and texts in other electronic or print publications is not permitted without the express consent of the association.
Legal validity of this disclaimer of liability
This disclaimer must be considered as a part of the website on which a reference is made to this page. Should parts or individual wordings of this text not, not fully, or no longer correspond to the current legal situation, the contents and validity of the remaining parts of the document remain unaffected.
